Tackey & Tsubasa Interview
taken from Gekkan za terebijon (Monthly The Television)

No.116ISSUE DEC2004

With Drama and solo concerts Tackey & Tsubasa have been catching attention alone but, as Autumn changes to Winter, with their new song "Aisoukyoku (Serenade)" they're displaying their new colours!

Imai: Regarding the lines in the song, it's a different sort of 'nostalgic' song than Yume Monogatari?

Takizawa: I think it's easier for people older than us to listen to. Doesn't it kind of have an older feel to the arrangement?

Imai: Yeah, the way it unfolds is interesting! The intro gradually picks up speed and you think will it go on with that force? but the A melody becomes sad.

Takizawa: The lyrics have a sad feeling to them too

Imai: That's right, the elegance comes at you, and then gradually spreads out

Takizawa: And the elegance, all it really does is surge forward, you almost think you can keep it back. And then the end of it is really dramatic. It becomes completely grown up, it's a song with feeling.

Imai: You want to carry that colour on in the performance too

This time they're using a stick mic during performances, showing us a dramatic dance

Imai: Hey, your arms, don't the muscles hurt?

Takizawa: Ah~ They do hurt now that you mention it. Throwing and catching and swinging it around, when we perform live it's nerve-wracking. Seems like we might drop it.

Imai: If we drop it, we drop it, we have to decide how we'll pick it up is all.

The coupling song, "The Starry Sky" is a Christmas song!

Takizawa: With this song, I've come to like Christmas Events (laughs)

Imai: Me too, if I had to choose I'd say I like New Years better but, I'll be celebrating this Christmas with this song.

Takizawa; We usually do spring concerts so sometimes it's difficult to do seasonal songs, but with events we can present them in good form.

Imai: You're right~ The bonus track on the regular edition "queen of R" is again, a really imagination provoking song!

Takizawa: Yup. Like its's a song you want to dance to with everyone again.

And here an announcement!! Continuing from last year, this time the Tackey & Tsubasa calendar, Monthly and Weekly The Television Team has taken the task at hand!

Takizawa: Yeah~ Last time was totally hot. Let's do it again this time.

Imai: All the photo sessions were so intimate~

Takizawa: Things kept secret until now, are all being revealed. That kind of calendar.

Imai: Risking our talent lives, since we even because Akibakun

Takizawa: I am, like high school girls to old ladies, a thrusting pro-wrestler (laughs)

Imai: I also rather like the idea of a nurses uniform. This year is Akibakun, let's try makeup!

Of course, there are even more cool pictures than last year. Look for it!

Monthly Question
What do you always end up buying at convenience stores?

Takizawa: Lately I've been addicted to convenience store hotdogs. I like well-cooked food.

Imai: Electronics magazines. For example, guides to the latest cell phones and etc. I like new things.
