Notes;
1) Bakansu comes from the French word 'Vacances' which means 'Vacation' basically in Japanese both 'bakeeshon' and 'bakansu' are used interchangeably.
2) 'zee zee' describes the sound of the cicadas in summer
3) I had to leave this line pretty much as is, to keep the pun. 'Baka' means fool
4) Why 'maeda-san'? It's a pun on the 'Otoko-mae da ne' and 'atari-mae da yo' in the first two lines of this stanza. On a random note, in an interview on Bokura no Ongaku the writer of this song said that he meant for the first two lines to be sung by Kimura, making fun of himself. However, not knowing this, the person who arranged the singing parts, made it a comedy skit with Katori, Kusanagi, and Kimura. The writer was more amused by this than anything else.
5) Again, to keep the pun this song had to pretty much stay as is. 'gaki' means brat
