HERO ni natta yume miru shounen wa
nandemo dekichatte tsumanai  akichattenda
me ga samete mita  gozen hachiji sugi
nanimo dekinai taikutsu na hibi ni  makikomare hajimaru
A young boy who dreamed of becoming a Hero
Could do anything, grew tired of it, and gave up
His eyes open just past eight a.m.
Unable to do anything in tedious days, it begins to unfold

Risou-teki na mirai ga mienai
aisou warai niwa kyoukan dekinai
motto kanjija sorosoro yabai (1)
torimodose!
        He can't see ideal futures
With a civil smile he can't show sympathy
With more of that feeling it gets gradually dangerous
        Take it back!

*Boku no hasshita oto wa kaze ni nori (2)
nami ni kaki kesare tooku natte iku kedo
soredemo tsutaetai koto ga aru kara
akiramenai de utau yo
**aisaretai  aishitarinai kimi ni
aisaretai  aishitarinai kimi ni
The note that I sang rides on the wind
On following waves it disappears into the distance but
even so it is able communicate because
I sing with abandon, you know
I love, but I don't love you enough
I love, but I don't love you enough

HERO ni nari sokoneta bokura
shouden ni nomare kangaekomu bakari
saigo ni ippatsu kimete yarou ze
go-rippa na hihankyuuseihihankikangenteikikanjyuu no you na Rush!! (3)
        We're hurting to become Heroes
Riding the last train merely pondering
In the end it's decided by one delinquent shot
        That splendid criticismrestcontrolcriticismtimerestrictionmachinegun-like Rush!!

Risou-teki na mirai ga mienai
aisou warai niwa kyoukan dekinai
motto kanjija sorosoro yabai
torimodose!
        He can't see ideal futures
With a civil smile he can't show sympathy
With more of that feeling it gets gradually dangerous
        Take it back!

Repeat *, **

Boku no hasshita oto wa kaze ni nori
nami ni kaki kesare tooku natte iku kedo
soredemo tsutaetai koto ga aru kara
akiramenai de utau yo
The note that I sang rides on the wind
On following waves it disappears into the distance but
even so it is able communicate because
I sing with abandon, you know

Kimi no hasshita oto wa kaze ni nori
machi no zawameki ni kaki kesareru
soredemo tsutaetai koto ga aru kara
akiramenai de utau yo
The note that you sung rides on the wind
In the bustling street it's disappearing but
even so it is able to communicate because
you sing with abandon, you know

Boku no hasshita oto wa kaze ni nori
machi no zawameki o tsukimekete iku
soredemo tsutawaranai koto ga aru kara
akiramenai de utau yo
The note that I sang rides on the wind
It goes and pierces the bustling street
Even so, if it's not introduced to anything
I sing with abandon, you know

Aisaretai  aishitarinai kimi ni
ai saretai  aishitarinai kimi ni
shinjiaitai  shinjiaitai kimi to
I love, but I don't love you enough
I love, but I don't love you enough
I want to believe, I want to believe with you

Risou-teki na shourai
gotsugoushougi na mirai
nanto kanaru sa It's all right!!
        In an ideal future
        An opportunistic future
        Become anything, It's all right!!

*Notes
1) What's written is 'konna' (that sort of...) but he sings 'motto' (more)
2) the verb here actually means to 'push out' or 'release', but the context is to sing
3) Couple of notes about this line; the prefix 'go' on splendid is meant to make it sound more formal. Also, it's no joke that the words are all mashed together like that, they are on the original lyric sheet, and he sings it really fast to match it. There are so many kanji all together in that line you'd think it was Chinese, not Japanese. ^^;;;
