Track 02 on the Harmony of December single

Kodoku no machikado o nurasu
kanashii tooriame ga
hodou to kokoro ni egaita
ootsubu no moyou ga mune, kogasu
    Soaking the lonely street corner
    A sorrowful shower
Painted on the street and in my heart
Large drops of the picture in my heart, burn

Totsuzen no ame ni utarete
boku wa zubunure no mama de
hitori omoide o nazoru you ni
machi o samayou
    Pelted by the sudden rain
    Soaked through as I am
As though tracing the memories by myself
    I wander through the town

Kono mune de kusubutteiru
ai wa imada sameyarazu
nibui itami ga shiranai uchi ni
kasoku suru
    Smouldering in this heart
The love still hasn't grown cold
Before I know it the dull pain
    accelerates

Wakarete ki ga tsuita hajimete
kono munashisa o umeteita no wa
kimi da to...
When we broke up I realized for the first time
    That what filled this void
    was you...

Kodoku no machikado de
kimi no kage o sagashitemitemo (1)
ashibaya ni sugiyuku
hito no nami ni kakikesare (2)
wasureyou to sureba suru hodo
futari sugoshita hibi wa
azayaka ni irotsuki nagara
zutto wasurerarenai... ai ni naru
    On a lonely street corner
Even if I try searching for a remenant of you
    It swiftly passes
Erased in the throng of people
The more I try to forget the more
    the days we spent together
    while brilliantly taking on colour
become a love... that I am always unable to forget

Konna ni mo mada konna ni mo
kimi o itoshiku omoeru
nibui itami o gomakashita tte
kese wa shinai
So much, still so very much
    I hold you dear
Even if I try to hide the dull pain
    It won't be erased

Namida o tameteyuku hakanai
utsuwa o dare ga nazuketa no darou
kokoro to...
    My tears accumulate, fleetingly
I wonder who it was who likened it to a dish
    The heart...
(3)

Kodoku no machikado de
ai no kakera, sagashitemitemo (4)
tomaru koto shiranai
toki no naka de miushinau (5)
wasureyou to sureba suru hodo
futari sugoshita hibi wa
azayaka ni irotsuki nagara
zutto wasurerarenai... ai ni naru
    On a lonely street corner
Even if I try searching, for a fragment of love
I lose sight of it in the time
that knows not how to stop
The more I try to forget the more
    the days we spent together
    while brilliantly taking on colour
become a love... that I am always unable to forget

Futen no dare yori mo ai shita (6)
kimi ga ima demo
kioku no naka de hohoemu
More than I loved anyone in this world
    You are even now
    still smiling in my memories

Kodoku no machikado o nurasu
kanashii tooriame ga
hodou to kokoro ni egaita
ootsubu no moyou o...
    Soaking the lonely street corner
    A sorrowful shower
Painted on the street and in my heart
    Large drops of the picture...

Kodoku no machikado de
ai no kakera, sagashitemitemo
tomaru koto shiranai
toki no naka de miushinau
wasureyou to sureba suru hodo
futari sugoshita hibi wa
azayaka ni irotsuki nagara
zutto wasurerarenai... ai ni naru
    On a lonely street corner
Even if I try searching, for a fragment of love
I lose sight of it in the time
that knows not how to stop
The more I try to forget the more
    the days we spent together
    while brilliantly taking on colour
become a love... that I am always unable to forget

Notes;
1) Where they sing 'kage' (shadow) is the kanji for 'zanzou' (afterimage)
2) where they sing 'hito' (people) is the kanji for 'gunju' (crowd, throng)
3) they are refering to a Japanese idiom here using 'utsuwa' (dish). If someone is 'utsuwa ga ookii' they are big-hearted/tolerant, and the opposite if they are 'utsuwa ga chiisai'
4) where the sing 'kakera' is the kanji for 'hahen', which both mean fragment.
5) Where the sing 'toki' (time) is the kanji for 'shunkan' (moment)
6) I couldn't find the word 'futen' in any of my dictionaries, but from the kanji I would imagine it means 'this world' or 'the real world', something to that effect
