BLACK JACK

  Lyrics & Music by yasu

I met you with a bang
Your killing words right on target
A fixed [1] bluff, well-played, I fell in passionate love with you

Deliberately paired with you
I was charmed by the public's gaze [2]
Stripping, waiting, show me all of yourself
With no more than a kiss
And a softly heartbreaking dance
I felt full of nothing but annoyance
I wasn't going to be defeated [3]

Love is always a gamble, also
The undefeated Black Jack
Still with a cool face
I'm always an unbeatable Joker!

I don't need a pure girl, and gaudy jewels are boring, too [4]
Since I want the thrill of devilish fun, tomorrow's thing will be to bet on that coin [5]

One for the gamble! Two for the pleasure! Three for SEX! Last Honey x2
One for the gamble! Two for the pleasure! Three for SEX! Last My HONEY ♥

I met you with a bang
Your killing words right on target
A fixed bluff, well-played, I fell in passionate love with you
You drained a cocktail
An aimless pistol [6]
From now on it's for survival, after this there's still a way to go till victory
I've become stubborn once again
One shot with high risks
The omens are a little dubious
The bitter smile across my sunglasses
Your mischievous grin

Surprised with the strong hand [7]
As I thought, you've been defeated and your clothes torn to shreds[8]
No matter the cost, I want you

The trump card is the best card to handle
There's no way to lose, Black Jack
My shaky poker face
Why doesn't it beat you, the only one who hasn't fallen
Only this sadness doesn't vanish
I can never forget
Pick up the fallen tears, throw them into that night sky, and they become stars

One for the gamble! Two for the pleasure! Three for SEX! Last HONEY x2
One for the gamble! Two for the pleasure! Three for SEX! Last My HONEY ♥

Your dance, breaking my heart...

[1] Fixed as in fixed dice.
[2] He's making a pun; written with different kanji (一目惚れる) this line can mean “With you, it was love at first sight”
[3] The form of the verb can also mean ‘to draw a card'; “I had to draw a card”
[4] I used ‘pure' for キレイ, as it is common for more slang words to be written this way. ケバイジュエル I wasn't really sure how to translate...but this is as close as I could get. The basic idea is that they're useless, but very flashy.
[5] Keeping with the gambling analogies, I translated 委ねる (to entrust) as “bet”. Keeping with the casual style, 明日の事 was translated as ‘tomorrow's thing' as opposed to ‘tomorrow's experience' or ‘tomorrow's business'.
[6] Literally translated, this line is “a pistol with nowhere to go”, but considering the spirit of the song, I thought “aimless” a good fit for the same meaning.
[7] Again, with the references to card playing.
[8] I think he means this in the past tense; as in, he knew she had been used before, which makes it all the more vexing as to why he can't seem to make her fall in love with him.
