yasu's novelization of the album
At its heart, this is the story that takes place in Janne Da Arc's album ANOTHER STORY, as written by yasu himself. The version I translated from is the first edition hardcover printing, published by avex in February of 2003.
There is another printing available via Ameba Books as of February 2007 that can be obtained through Amazon.jp. Ideally, this novel is meant to be read while listening to the ANOTHER STORY album from beginning to end, but as some people read faster than others, I'll leave it to you to figure out which songs are supposed to fall where. (Of course, you are welcome to access the translations of the lyrics in the Albums section of the site.) At risk of sounding self-important, I'd like to thank all of my friends and supporters of my translating. Without all of you, a project this large would not have even been possible. Of course, my thanks also to Janne Da Arc themselves, as always. I hope you will see as much of the wonder and hope in this novel as I have, if for no other reason than to confirm that I have indeed done my job with this translation and presented it in a way that yasu would be proud of.
